About Celeste Labadie, LMFT
Before I became a psychotherapist, I worked as a home school educator for students ages 8 to 18 and facilitated “learning circles” for youth and adults. I was also a radio deejay for over 20 years on various Colorado public radio stations, interviewing dozens of authors and musicians. Other jobs along the way: “title clerk” at a car dealership, a waitress, a poetry workshop presenter/emcee and a caregiver for wisdom elders in my community.
What I know is this: Life can be overwhelming, unpredictable and stressful.
If we lose track of our center — our inner knowing of who we are and what we want in this life — we become unsure and question our every move. We can forget to take care of ourselves (mind, heart and body) and spin out our vital energy leaving us confused, uncertain and worried.
Whether you want a better relationship, a clearer mind, or need to safely share something that holds you back, it is my honor to offer you a safe place to express your desires, worries or challenges. My intention is that you feel accepted, heard and seen without judgment. I hold a vision of you living your highest potential even when you don’t know what that is or how to get there.
As my father once said to me, “You listen with both ears.” I naturally learn from all my experiences and I respect my clients’ process, history, perspective and timing.
I’m in a very loving marriage and I offer relationship guidance from a real experience of how to make a relationship thrive. Having a marriage therapist in your corner who knows how to live in a successful and loving relationship is very important.
As an experiential therapist, I give concrete examples from my own life (and relationship) of options that worked to fix a problem. My clients often point out how refreshing it is to know that I’ve been where they are and have transitioned through similar situations. It’s not a ‘know it all’ viewpoint. It’s a helping hand, ‘take it if you want to’ offering. My intention is to extend practical solutions and options that work.
